Application Purpose: Amendment 1: An additional two subrecipient planning projects will be funded with this grant bringing the total to five projects. The two additional projects are a rebranding research project for a shared-ride taxi service and a feasibility study for an existing shared-ride taxi program to examine how to sustain the program.-----Original: This award will fund a total of three planning projects all of which are subrecipient awards. The subrecipient projects include a transportation feasibility study a facility needs assessment and an electrification feasibility study. The projects are intended to identify transit needs and opportunities in communities across the state so that federal state and local transit funds may be used efficiently to meet the needs Wisconsin residents.; Activities Performed: Amendment 1: No change to the activities statement; the prior remarks apply to the new projects as well.-----Original: Activities all pertain to transit planning and assessment and will vary according to the project. The activities will be performed by either the subrecipient transit agencies or contractors. WisDOT will issue sub-grants to various municipalities counties or transit commissions and aid in procurement as needed. WisDOT will review quarterly reports submitted by subrecipients and process quarterly reimbursements. In general sub-recipient activities will include assessment of existing transit facilities and local transportation needs via various studies surveys and performance reviews. Data will be analyzed evaluated and used to create reports and presentations with recommendations based on the findings.; Expected Outcomes: Amendment 1: No change to the expected outcome statement; the prior remarks apply to the new projects as well.-----Original: Overall the expected outcomes are to improve transit access and transit facilities to better serve the public for various current and prospective local transit agencies.; Intended Beneficiaries: Amendment 1: No change to the intended beneficiaries statement; the prior remarks apply to the new projects as well.-----Original: Transit passengers community members employers and taxpayers will benefit from these projects.
