FOLLOWING THE RELEASE OF THE DS REPORT, NASA CALLED FOR STUDY PROPOSALS TO EXPLORE MISSION SYSTEM ARCHITECTURES TO ADDRESS THE DOS. THE GOAL OF THE ACCP STUDY IS TO DEFINE OBJECTIVES FOR THE COMBINED ACCP DESIGNATED OBSERVABLE SYSTEMS APPROACHES TO ACHIEVE THEM. THE NASA GODDARD SPACE FLIGHT CENTER GSFC WAS CHOSEN TO LEAD THE ACCP STUDY, A STUDY WITH MEANINGFUL AND SIGNIFICANT MULTI NASA CENTER PARTICIPATION. THE PURPOSE OF THIS TASK IS TO PROVIDE SYSTEMS ENGINEERING, SYSTEMS ARCHITECTURE, TECHNICAL EVALUATION, AND PROGRAMMATIC ANALYSES SUPPORT DURING ADVANCED PROJECT AND PROGRAM FORMULATION. THESE ACTIVITIES WILL BE IN SUPPORT OF OBSERVING SYSTEM MISSION DEVELOPMENTS SUCH AS THE AEROSOL, CLOUD, CONVECTION AND PRECIPITATION ACCP STUDY.
